Lucy Lawless hails from New Zealand and she is a performer, actress as well as a singer and musician. Her name is most well-known in her field for her illustrious role in several top-rated TV films and series, including Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Spartacus: Revengeance. She is best known and loved for her role she played in Xena. This role was initially intended to be played by the actress Vanessa Angel but ultimately went to Lucy as she was unable to attend the shooting because of illness. Based on the way the character was depicted, and how it was given the due to, the show later was one of the most popular shows on TV during the time it was on air along with other shows. In September 1995 the show was relaunched as a spinoff in her character Xena. Lucy's popularity as an actor increased after the spin-off.
