Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. Her birth date was 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox received a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Lennox was able to live by surviving on a student stipend, while working part time jobs. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied in her performance when as compared to the performance of the other students. She began considering different options. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. The band did not get to compete in the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. From 1977 to 1980, she was the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop band. In this band, she got to know Dave Stewart and together they created The duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva and it was released in 1992. It received lots of praise, both from the press and critics.
